Memories of Moscow

It was Stefano's birthday and we dropped in to wish him. Usha fell down in the ice with the single malt in her hand, but somehow manged to keep it from breaking!

In the other foto, we are standing in front of Moscow University with Moscow city in the back ground. Daniele was taking us to a farewell dinner in Novotel with our driver (a very good electronics engineer too) Valodia. Nikhil and Usha could not stop laughing for many days after describing how I fought with my full crab!

More memories from Moscow

That is Radhakrishnan sitting with us in the boat. We went for a boat trip on the River Moscow in a public boat, just to see the normal folks in the Russian country side. It was a worthwhile trip. Geetha was also with us, though not in this foto.
In the next snap you can see Nikhil with his best friend in school. Kendriya Vidyalaya in Moscow. They did not speak each others language, but were best friends!
Anil and bhuvana - our best friends and guides in Moscow.
This was the residence of Lenin. For many years, this acted as Kremlin also. It is now maintained as a national monument and there is a large forest around this.
One of the most imposing buildings in Moscow - The ministry of defence.

Usha - Moscow 94

Doesn't she look glorious? Indeed, she was a feast to the eyes! (sigh). With light make up above and without make up below :) We were staying right in front of Moscva Supermarket . The Russians had a habit of storing all sorts of food and miscellaneous material in their home after the starvation deaths of late 80's, just prior to Perestroika. Our apartment was virtually a warehouse of everything under the Sun. From nails to sugar to Flour to you name it. It was all hidden in the cupboards that lined all the rooms and below too. Very often, I used to get allergic bronchitis because of dust allergy from these stuff! The floor was lined with parquet and damaged. I offered to change it and the lady told me to look for another apartment! She was afraid that we will take over the apartment.
